Our mindfulness program uses a variety of awareness practices to cultivate students’ social and emotional learning skills, particularly their resilience -- their ability to bounce back from adversity and stay engaged with a challenge. Our curriculum teaches specific tools for working with conflict, anger, anxiety, stress and distraction.

Our lessons also emphasize practices that cultivate kindness, gratitude and connection with others to create compassionate and learning-ready classrooms.

Empowered Minds offers students a toolkit to access and develop their inner resources because we believe that all children have the capacity to support themselves. It is our mission to empower students by giving them more choices and the freedom to respond rather than react to the world around them.
